OUR SAFI THERMAL PLANT
A state of the art power plant with a capacity of 1,386 MW, the Safi plant is the first ultra-supercritical thermal power plant in Africa. Developed by Nareva in partnership with Engie and Mitsui, it is distinguished by higher energy efficiency and a reduced environmental footprint, compared to conventional thermal power plants.
The plant efficiency, which is 10% higher than conventional power stations, and its advanced equipment, allow a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and in the associated fuel costs. The plant is also equipped with desulphurization and denitrification equipment. The plant was commissioned in December 2018, after 49 months of work.
